It has been known for decades that a ferromagnetic sample can depolarize transmitted neutron beam. This effect was used and developed into the neutron-depolarization technique to investigate magnetic structure of materials. Since polarization evolves continuously as neutrons move through sample, initial spin states on scattering will be different at depths within sample. leads contamination measured spin-dependent neutron-scattering intensities by other cross sections. The rarely considered in polarized experiments even though it crucial impact observable signal. A model is proposed describe depolarization beam traversing provide procedure data correction give guidelines choose optimum thickness. experimentally verified small-angle geometry with samples nanocristalline soft-magnet Vitroperm (Fe 73 Si 16 B 7 Nb 3 Cu 1 ). general enough adapted types neutron-diffraction geometries.

Polarized neutron scattering experiments were performed on mixed compound CeRh0.6Co0.4In5 to clarify the nature of the lowtemperature ordered states. The depolarization in uniaxial superconductors with the reversible magnetization, mcluding uniaxial magnetic superconductors,is also considered.
